Green Sticker
« on: March 09, 2010, 11:09:40 AM »

OK,

Who knows about green stickers?

I assume that the buggy I just picked up needs to have a green sticker to legally run around JV.  I does not have a green sticker now.

I have read how to green sticker a rig that you built, but I did not build this rig.  I do have a bill of sale is that good enough to get a green sticker?

Help.

I tried to green sticker mine last year they told me it had to be currently registered to recieve one. meaning i  needed to smog and pay fee's. In your case you could probably tell them you built it

From what I have read you have to have all of the receipts for the build.

Too bad you don't know a guy who deals in off road parts that could gather a few reciepts Grin

engine trans and axles then estimate the misc. looks like it was built for $3500 to me.

I have thought about that already, but the engine part (block numbers) are the concern for me.

The rest of the receipts would not be an issue.

Did Wayne keep the pink for the donor car? if not it was a JY motor bought for this project cost $500 you lost that recipt. I would call first and have them run the # to make sure it doe not come up stollen but I remember the build he drove the thing around after cutting off the bent parts from the crash. I am sure it is clean.
