Thanks Gustav_t (and the others) for adding yours to the index. Now about 1000 more folks need to follow suit ;)

Come on people, you can do it!

I tried to post my Toy Garage to the index. http://garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=137714&highlight=1carguy

Each time I clicked submit and waited for the confirmation page I received this page:

The website is too busy to show the webpage
HTTP 408/HTTP 409
What you can try:
Refresh the page.

Go back to the previous page.

More information

Wondering if my Toy Garage made it though to the index. Also, not quite sure how you find the index.

Thanks

Hey, That's a weird error and I'll have to look into it. Thanks!
it looks like your submission was a success, though! You're on row #2.. lol

hey there, ss73.
I do not have notification that you filled-out the form, but I succeeded on a test.
Please try it again.. do you think you waited long enough after clicking the submit button to see a confirmation that the form sent?

146 submissions! -- That's an average over 11 submissions per month.

This is a reminder that anyone can submit a garage for an owner that hasn't already submitted to the index. Later the real owner can submit to make any adjustments to the entry, if they wish.

Great idea! I'm still learning my way around the features and I have a could of questions - why are the headers and such in Chinese and can you sort from lowest square footage to highest? All I've been able to do is select a thread by a specific square footage.

So how does this thing work? I'm either missing something, too dense or it's not functioning. At this point I'm not sure which one applies.

Ok, I figured out what's going on. For some reason my chrome browser doesn't display the list. However, if i use safari, it does. That's why I couldn't see if. So, if you are having trouble seeing the list, change your browser and that might help you to..

Sorry to be MIA on this thread guys.

macattak - Chinese? Really? Are you still seeing that? Also, it doesn't appear the Power Dashboard (which would allow sorting) is working.

The standard list displays fine for me with 149 entries. The Extra-Wide GJ view is a little better to see everything if you have a wide monitor. If I select the link in the header of the standard list above the "YrBuilt" column "Enable sorting and filtering", I get a new window with a sortable list. It shows only 120 of the entries at this point, however, so something may still be wrong there. The first time I clicked on the link "Power Dashboard w/ Sort & Filter", all I saw was a blank spreadsheet with a bunch of dashes.

It also appears the interactive map is non-functional.

CodeRedZ, BHR4CE1, alberto - I see only one of you with entries in the list. Now that the problem with Google Chrome has been identified, has anyone tried to enter their shop in the list?

Forum member luvit is the mastermind on the inner workings of the list, so I may need to give him a shout to look a little deeper into this. Chances are Google changed the way their spreadsheets work or something.

I am having trouble getting to the "confirmation page" it mentions to wait for. I filled out the form with all info required. Any tips?

sorry. I've been MIA, also.
I'll be reviewing any changes and other problems that may have arrived due to any changes by google's product.

The list seems to have been holding at 150 for some time now despite a number of members trying. Looking down the list, I only see one submission in 2014 and really not much activity in 2013 at all. The forum is growing not shrinking.

I guess its time for me to build another garage so I can try logging in a new one :)

luvit, should I try a test garage?

Portland - the cool one.
I thought it was just me who couldn't get it to work. I've tried a few different browsers since Safari doesn't seem to even show the index anymore. Anyway, I guess I'll try again in a month or so.

I tried entering taumac's garage data twice, and after a long wait after hitting the Submit button (once, of course), I got this message both times:

attachment.php

Is this the error you guys were getting?

I will try it again another night just to make sure is wasn't just a freak Google overload thing.

Alright, guys.
A couple years ago, Ryan installed an add-on to vBulletin for me just so this could work.
I wrote a new & simpler spreadsheet. The new google spreadsheets are really improved for what we're doing here.. I have greatly reduced the formulas.

But.. the new google spreadsheets, which all google spreadsheets will eventually update to, does not seem compatible with the add-on Ryan installed.
So hang-in there. I don't want you to think I'm ignoring this.

mauls - It sounds like the 2-Car garage thread had some malware in it and was taken down. I put a note by the thread link to warn others that it's not working. I left the link in there, however, in case the mods get it up and running again.

Crazy68Dart - Good suggestion. I know some owners have odd shaped buildings and/or multiple buildings, so it may get a little complicated trying to capture that information in some cases.

Roger55 - We are still working on the data entry problem we discussed several replies above. I added a note in the original post of this thread to warn others trying to submit theirs. Hopefully we will have it back online soon. Sorry about any inconvenience this may have caused you.

You all have been very patient. I've been so busy and have chosen to put my little free time in my garage and not into garage journal.
Hope you like the simpler and faster spreadsheet that *should be* fail-safe to google updates.
I'll watch this thread for complaints.

Thank you for the index. I really enjoy looking through it. I notice under my submission the link to my initial post on garage journal which describes the build is inactive. How do I activate this link?

Thanks

Dave

Thanks for entering yours 1carguy. The text you entered, when copied into another browser window, seems to work fine. Its missing the "www.", but so are a handful of others in the list and they work fine.

I will send a PM to luvit to see if he can fix it up for you.
