Today’s posts started off so well but ended with cupping and dry needling. Jeez. :eek2:

Yeah I was thing it's great to see updates, but damn, you roached that knee big time!
It’s been a rough fall season for sure, screwed up fall golf pretty good, doc ripped my a new one for trying back in October, the whole new bike and not riding has been just a rough, my boys are getting to the age where they can make some big improvements on riding skills and I’m over here lame duck like

Also picked up a piece of stainless steel for the tool box top, I’m not sure what it’s called because millscale doesn’t seem correct. But needed that gone to have a smooth working surface. 220 grift and a whole lot of rpm on a 5” grinder did a decent job. Then some scotch pad airway buffs to smooth things out. No need to mirror polish and I definitely didn’t have enough sandpaper to get it there!

All done, a coat of sanding sealer, then some black glaze to bring out the laser stuff, then two more coats of lacquer
Some polished hardware and I’ll get her wrapped up nice and pretty

Hey why not update the forum

After tipping the semi on its tanks, boss man not completely killing me or firing me of any sort. With Christmas vacation looming figured I needed to get my family vacation in.

Christmas then took the kids to Florida and universal studios, a cruise into the gulf and back to Miami

IMG_4254.jpegIMG_4256.jpegIMG_4252.jpegI know the photos aren’t in order, mobile view *****.
I decided to verify the grease on the rear suspension linkage. I was reading some really bad reviews about Ktm and Husky getting shipped out with no grease, I fortunately only found one link that was rusty, and a few not exactly greased the way I would like. So I coated them and reassembled the bike.

I am vertical and mobile. This week I got put back to work in the shop on light duty. It’s not glamorous or fun but it’s not staring at the tv or ceiling I’ll take it

I found a local guy in my area who will repair the dents on both tanks so off those came after emptying 40 gallons of hydraulic fluid and I don’t know how much diesel but it was a good bit

Painted toe nails, a true sign of a girl dad.lol Hope you heal up quick.
Noticed that did ya, lol my wife wanted to get he nails done before our cruise so I said I would go with her, red white and blue and I was astonished how many good looking ladies walked up to me in very direct fashion to compliment me on my nails and they were glad to see a guy who took pride in his feet. While I don’t take pride in my feet, there is nothing that will embarrass me so which ever.

Maybe painted nails are some kind of cruise ship signal? You know, like an upside down Pinapple.lol

Found this gem on Thursday, with out getting the part out yet, I’m not certain if it’s a fresh cracked motor mount (the truck has been sitting outside for the last four months or close to) and tying up a floor jack all week.

That corner mount is #3 on the diagram, it supports the passenger front side of the car 3406e motor. I really feel it best to just replace it and the driver side. I’ll replace the two rubber isolators as well while im there

A guy I know just broke a motor mount a couple weeks ago. I got it all second hand but sounded like it broke off the frame. With the tow, mount replaced, u-joints replaced, and a service the bill was 12g.

Nice catch on the crack!!!!

I used to have my son grease for me once in a while just to have a second set of eyes look things over. I always did my own work.

Picked up the tanks for the truck and started the cleaning process, the guy who did the repairs didn’t clean them before he welded them back up, that was really neat.

Then set about getting the engine supported so I could pull the whole front mount bracket off and replace parts

Built another pogo stick for our transport truck. An all aluminum unit is $1800 bucks I’m not willing to spend even company money on when I can build one for $150 and left over steel

Also got the tanks polished, I can’t do it since elbow surgery so I paid a pro. They turned out great. Fueled, hydraulic fluid added and truck starts. I’ll post the TikTok link

IMG_4508.jpegAfter the hassle of removing both tanks and dumping $600 in diesel into 55g barrels plus the 55g of hydraulic fluid out. I sourced a used tank to replace my double tank on the driver side. Yes I still need to polish it,

IMG_4544.jpegIMG_4538.jpegI took to calling a college professor to do the repair other tank as I couldn’t find a replacement local. I did get a brand new tank ordered but it had a three + week lead time and as trucking goes. If it’s not hauling it’s costing money!!!
He drove up from fuller Utah and met me at one of his buddies shops to repair the leaking tank I couldn’t replace

We chased every weld and every crack that appeared, we had numerous blow outs where the crack would just melt ahead of the tig, But all in all my old professor got it! It doesn’t look good, but sure **** it holds fuel into the tank and I’ll get it swapped out as soon as the new tank comes in.
