Dayuuuuuum Dave. You've been busy in a short amount of time.

Truck is turning out freakin' AWESOME! Love the color choice, it works perfectly with all of the brightwork.

Funny you mentioned blasting vs. sanding around all of those rivets. I helped my uncle paint his 32' Barth motorcoach back when I was in High School and I got stuck with a drill and Scotchbrite pad going over every single one of those rivets to sand them and the surrounding area for paint adhesion. That SUCKED!

@zmotorsports i knew what that would do to my fingers and hands, i also didn’t want any paint chips to show yellow underneath the grey. Good peace of mind to know the epoxy prime had a well etched surface to bond to.

Thanks for popping in @Old Man Roger, I hope between the power windows instead of the lifetime of leaky air driven windows that will help keep rain out also. Every air driven window I have seen either sags or doesn’t roll up completely.

For sure @Old Man Roger, of all the truck tasks this gave me the most anxiety, the air toggle switches are pissin are out of the damn 1/4” push connections now, so I need to find like ten T compression fitting pull them out and rebuild the whole toggle set.

Demco side dump?
Smith co. I deleted the stickers on it, not much for advertising for western trailer or the manufacturer. I think it’s a good trailer but there is better out there in my opinion. The sales team definitely dropped the ball. Like when ordering the trailer we could have picked custom colors for $500 additional bucks, they didn’t inform us of the set up options like electric switches axles on the trailer and instead I added them myself after two rear tires. Things like that and now I think about it you just asked the name and I went on a tangent

Made it a full 12 hour day today, no mud, no rain, just hauling dirt. It was oh so nice to be back in the driver seat instead of busted knuckles, split fingers, and sore feet. Now it’s just stiff back and a numb **** from sitting that long.

Thanks for following along. Hope you enjoy

I know the old shipwreck harbor stuff isn’t everyone’s favorite, it’s not mine but when it’s time to get a new tool box and I’m not a full time Mechanic the Us General box is pretty hard to beat for function in a home garage.

Picked up a 56” base, added two 15” side cabinets and I’ll probably add the top hutch or the drawer bank in the future.

I also got the 1985 Yamaha Trizinger finished up

Had a different turn of events to finish off the 2025 season, picked up a very low hour Husqvarna TE300 for an amazing price. Figured time to let the 09’ WR450F retire and then set out on my first adventure with the boys
IMG_2500.jpegClean and new in the driveway, has some great titanium parts, some aftermarket rubles set up, some protective bits and dodads

The peak in the corner is Benlomand peak in Ogden Utah, I believe the tallest. It all went south about 3/4 up that.

IMG_2769.jpegIMG_2772.jpegended up taking a right hand switch back and blowing out my ACL, tearing my meniscus, partial tears in two others I think Fcl and MCl. So surgery it was and all the fun things that go along with that and trying to stay off it for eight weeks. Spoiler alert I failed miserably

This is a few weeks after surgery and they gave me a bit to much freedom, let me unlock my brace and take it off while at homeIMG_4235.jpegwhich resulted in putting a new exhaust system on my boys YZ250F and of course test riding it, needed to see if the jetting was gonna lean out to much and start back firing and such well, kick starting wasn’t on the list of things I was supposed to do and IMG_2932.pngdad being on the bed for the weekend after I achieved my goal of test riding the bike my wife reminded me how stupid I was with a screen grab of me no shoes, helmet, or pants and she wasn’t impressed IMG_2935.jpeg

I did get back to work in October for some fall time adventures of dragging other trucks out in between loads IMG_3289.jpegIMG_7825.jpegIMG_3366.jpegof course daylight savings time means chicken lights all morning and on the way home!
In this process of our nice fall rain storms I took a slip out of the truck, flat back into a puddle of water and needing help up and a visit to the doctor again :(

Then a few other projects while poor weather, slow trucking, and a pissed off knee IMG_3355.jpegIMG_3384.jpeg1991 Fxhr forks for a buddy of mine on his restoration

Truck made it into the Nation Wide Fleetpride calendar! I think that’s pretty awesomeIMG_3376.jpeg
IMG_3401.jpegThen onto another home task, taking 1/4” stainless steel plate and using it to top the new this summer tool box, it works but it’s not my usual polish so don’t hate on me for itIMG_3412.jpegIMG_3413.jpeg.

And after my fall, sorry side tracked with funner things, the Doctor/ surgeon and physical therapist all agreed that my leg is not improving far as resistance and sloppiness. They are sending me for an MRI tomorrow which has a 50/50 chance of still not showing me if I have torn it or not, and then doing exploratory surgery and replacing my ACL again knocking me down another 8 week which my employer says under no circumstance will they allow me to come back to work, until I’m 100%! So there is that and here is a photo of dry needling. Essentially it’s acupuncture with Electrical stimulation. I don’t like this needling process one bit it hurts and I have never liked needles IMG_3312.jpeg
