A bigger pump will try to move more water, faster. If your outlet piping is sized for the current 1/2 hp pump, you may need to increase it for the bigger pump.

The length of the run shouldn’t matter as much as the rise. Ideally, that 100’ of pipe is running downhill, not contributing to how far the pump has to lift the water.

The pumps basically all have standard size 1-1/2" threads

Yes the 90' run is pitched downhill

Larger pits also can use higher HP pumps from what i have read

Mine is 18" in diameter and 24" deep

1/2 hp was suggested on pits under 12" in diameter

At the day job, we use 1/2 hp sump pumps and ones which can pass 1/2” solids.

We also require pumps that use a separate piggy back float. You can unplug the float and plug the pump direct to force it to run.
