Don, Great to see you back at it in the shop.

I was just thinking how cool it must be to have that skill level, desire, shop setup, time and means all intersect at the same time! I understand it came about after a lifetime of hard work and timing, but for all those factors to coincide along with your willingness to document and share is truly remarkable! Thank you again for BPG! 100% on my Bucket list to visit.

Regards,
MADC

I have had company all week. My brother and his son have been here playing. Both are very computer savvy so both mine and Ann's computers got a tune up The San Francisco trolley stop light had quit working and Ann's birthday present (a fortune teller from the Hollywood Wax museum) needed some electronic love so I called them in from northern Cal. to help me get some repairs done.
1. The stop light is working again
2. the fortune teller gives out cards now.
3. we relit a couple of display cases that had shorted out

Since we still had time we looked around for a couple more projects and found 2 good ones.
Remember the 35 dodge truck grille shell that I converted into a small display case

It is now lit up

And the head lights are adjustable with a dimmer

And that worked so well that we went after the head lights up on the shop and managed to get them powered up with the same dimmer switch

Great to hear you’re electronics got a great tune up and your computers too.

So I know the pedal car might be too nice to have on the floor but watching you pedal around in it would be a hoot.

Again you’ve turned a vintage rusted item into a gem.

WOW!!

Everything looks outstanding....as usual.
Anything new with the COE? I imagine it is a real time eater when you do turn your attention to it so photograph-able progress is slow in coming. Can't wait to see that one completed.

No Dan. I'm waiting on the radiator hoses to be made then I can reassemble the front end and start the bodywork again

COE update
Radiator hoses were made yesterday and put on the truck. Filled the radiator with coolant and fired up the truck>
it drove off the lift and went about 10 feet before backing back up onto the 4 post lift

Pipes the first time back

botom pipe looks good but the top one had some mis comunication and had to go back for some adjustments

A quick lil project is well under way. I picked up this lantern while traveling to the Hershey swap meet in Pennsylvania last year

I dismantled it and sent the top cap and handle to the chrome shop while I smoothed out each piece a quick pass thru the sand blaster helped out a lot.

2.JPG

I gave it a slick paint job while I wait for the chrome to return

I'm looking for some chrome wing nuts to bolt the lamp together

Me too. Hope he doesn't run out of it anytime soon.
Me too. Long story here

The truck is going through a complete redue because of a couple of bad things that have happened

#1 drove the truck a couple of blocks before I remembered to add air to the air shocks and burned both 1/4 panels just above the wheel wells
#2 When building out the engine compartment I never noticed that the hood touched a couple of places on the inner fenders where I had built them out
#3 I burned the paint on the drivers door just behind the o/s mirror
And the biggest reason is the bondo that I put on the 1/4 panels when reworking them to remove the upper moldings had started cracking after 20 years so a complete repaint is in order , and a great custom painter is going to shoot it this time

Well I took the day off today so Ann and I could take the Zephyr out for a run. We ended up at a local car show at the Bob's Big Boy hamburger restaurant. So we went in and had lunch before the show. We came home with another winning plaque for the trophy case. (Best of show)

Leaving home
