This bowl is about 9.5X 2.5. Finished with Mahoney Oil

Elm bowl. From Helene damage. Twice turned.

Photo distorts the shape. It is pretty much round. ~7" X 3". Mahoney Oil Finish. Elm gets a bit hard when it dries, OBTW.

C&C welcome.

Thanks for looking.

Here is a TV table I made for my brother in Fla.

Very nice!

My OCD is kicking in looking at all those wires though, which is why my TV hangs on the wall with all the wires hidden frow view.
Is your brother going to "finish" it, eventually? I know how it is. I've got a door jamb and trim with new wood from November I haven't painted yet.

I didn't notice the wires but did notice the puddy fills right away.

I offered to paint it for him, but he wanted to leave it natural. The putty filled holes are from the pocket screw holes. Next time I go to visit him I will probably paint it. I should have painted it before bringing it to him.

Really like the bowls folks are turning. I was clearing up winter/wind storm damage yesterday. On is a cherry tree, standing dead finally blew over. Has a nice size burl, having a hard time potting that on the burn pile. Thinking of someone to gift it too.

My dad had cut down an olive tree.
He tossed the wood in his fire wood pile. Then he gave me a bunch of it.
One Christmas, I was trying to figure out what to give them. I used the piece from olive tree and turned a vase.
I'll find a picture later.

Made four of these

Some left over sapele became a place to place the Jamos. Heavy bottoms —couple of layers of LVL— in hopes the grands won't use them as jousting lances. There is a piece of EMT behind that front upright for enclosing the speaker wire. Yes, I'm techno-dinosaur.

We took a sofa table and converted it to a TV stand. Put a back piece on with a couple of grommets up high. Painted the facing side of the back piece same as the wall color. You don't even know it's there.
