Been working hard on the C.O.E this week and a ton of planning going into the floor for the seats. With the motor placed back 20" and down 8" the cab has a bit more floor space which I need being a bit big. The seat floor is welded up and welded to a hinge at the rear of the cab so the seats and floor can be swung up to expose the motor if needed. The seats will lean back into the sleeper when the floor is raised

The floor will be in 2 sections Seat and foot area. The foot area will be 4" below the seat floor and will be bolted in for access if needed. The fire wall is in place permanently for the brake and gas pedal. I have a set of seats that I'll be using I think, but the cab is a bit narrow for this console and the 2 bucket seats so I'll be building a custom console using most of the top panels. I still need to build the dog house to give the throttle body and air cleaner some room to work but that comes tomorrow

I found some time to play with the COE today
The sleeper needed to be mounted and bolted to the cab so since I had a friend drop in I put him to work helping me line up the sleeper. It took about an hour of fighting a lousy old floor jack so I pulled out my porto power and got the job done

Sorry no pic,s today. Couldn't find my phone. I left it in the paint mixing room while painting another project

I haven't forgotten about my COE
Today it was the shop focus I had ordered some steering parts several weeks ago and I ran across them this morning so I pulled them out and went to work on the truck. By the end of the day, the rack and pinion steering unit was mounted and the right fender was stripped of the old bondo and the metal smoothed from the sand blaster and a coat of epoxy primer was sprayed on it.

Don, so glad to see this one jump back to the head of your project list! I assume that's a Flaming River VDOG unit - looks like it fits your application perfectly!
Keep it coming!

With my SIL help we were able to get the aprons built for the trucks front end

Then we went after some plumbing issues for the power steering and brake unit

with all that done we checked our mounting ideas for the radiator and all looks good

Got the radiator tubes made up and installed today, filled the radiator with water and fired the beast up. Had the drive shaft shortened and installed, kicked her into gear and drove it off the rack under her own power. The power steering and brakes worked just fine. Now it's back to doing the body work on the fenders and sheeting the sleeper
