That explains the screw hole in the rear ! I have never seen one with it & this one has been A.W.O.L for at least 60 years. Was it Std. on the No. 2’s? Thank you for the info, guess I need to get busy looking!

Steve
Look on Ebay, or Google them, and you will see they came with a side handle.

Hi. New to forum. Can anyone help with more info. It's a Miller Falls No. 618A level, It feels too heavy to be aluminum, but is not magnetic.

Got these two heads and a few other assorted items for $10 bucks at an estate sale. The top one is Millers Falls. It cleaned up nicely. The bottom one has no marks.

I just acquired this 1/4" ratchet. My meager search skills are coming up empty. Can't find it mentioned anywhere.
I suppose the "MF" could be something other than Millers Falls, but what?
It's U.S.A. obviously, but the "1693+" doesn't get me anywhere.
Anyone?

It is absolutely without a doubt Millers Falls. Somewhere I posted a picture of a new in-package spark plug socket that I had, but it must have been on another forum. I still have the socket and a few others, but I'm not sure if I saved the package when I opened it.

Both Millers falls and Pendleton Tool ( Proto P&C, etc...) were owned by Ingersoll-Rand at the same time, so that is why it looks like a Challenger...

A friend stopped by yesterday and delivered a late Christmas present:

Millers Falls 1164 one-inch cold chisel

She said it was the only "locally made" item she was able to find when she went "back home" over the Christmas holiday. She grew up in Orange.

I've owned this probably 53 years and it just helped me to find my survey points after a city subcontractor pulled out my survey stakes and threw them In my bushes.

I went to the city engineering office and told them I wanted registered pins to reestablish my survey points and multiple copies of a sealed survey. I also sent a copy of my request to my district commissioner who happens to be a PE, she is a female and has helped me with other issues dealing with the city in the past.

The city 'made me whole' and complied with my requests.

Working on a Millers-Falls 731 brace. The chuck spindle is held on with a screw on top, Under that is suppose to be a "D" washer. It was missing. Found one on another brace. It measures 5/8" OD, for a 7/16" shaft with a flat. Thickness is .045", steel. I have not been able to locate a replacement yet. McMasters has 3/8" and then jumps to 1/2". I asked them and they said sorry, they couldn't help. Did not see anything on E-Bay either. Asked several of the washer suppliers and they want $1200 just for the tooling. Anybody know where I might buy some of these? One option is to buy the 3/8" ($10 each!) and then file it out to 7/16". Don't want to scrap a brace just for this washer.

Here is what it looks like"
