Have to confess, Toolmobile in a good shape with the rack is also on my list of things that I want (on top of Snap On K60, Blackhawk DD rollers (2 from different periods), a 5 drawer Blackhawk and (which will never happen) Aston Martin Snap On box (they were available in England...)

As you remember, I got a $17 box with ratchet and some sockets recently.

I somewhat cleaned the box, cleaned and lubricated the ratchet (PO told me he did it, but there was some dirt/rust/dried out black grease inside), added 3/8 socket from my spares, added a driver, the T-handle (not SK), added a mat and put a newer SK Tools sticker (Thank you to SK Tools gift from the past!!!). I might paint the box at some point - thus sticker is not attached permanently).

Still have no idea if it's truly an SK socket box: the seller thought it is, the color is similar, but the way the divider is attached with the "guides" punched in the side is different...SKbox_2.JPGSKbox_8.JPGSKbox_9.JPG

Thank you, Don, Four.Cycle and Outlawmws!

Fount the picture in post 1739 by Don. There was some paper in poor condition on the side of the box in the exactly the same spot as on the red box (now I understand the rhomboid outline which was a rhombus sign of Thorson emblem)

Today’s estate sale produced these mostly new looking later S-K combo wrenches. For us old guys, I think the large size marking aren‘t a bad idea. IMG_8246.jpegIMG_8291.jpeg
I continued my quest to own all of the amber handle S-K spinners in North AmerIca. This one came in the mail today. IMG_8271.jpegIMG_8272.jpeg
Arrivals earlier this month.IMG_7958.jpegIMG_8008.jpeg

I have a weakness for sad looking incomplete vintage S-K sets. This one arrived today and did come with all the universal sockets. IMG_1763.jpeg
Gradually added missing toolsIMG_1767.jpegIMG_1773.jpegIMG_7718.jpeg
Finished for today. Needs a 6 point 7/16” deep socket and some paint.IMG_1779.jpeg
Probably made ‘57 or ‘58.

Thanks for posting this Don. I found this set at the third day 75% off everything estate sale that I happened across on my way back from the flea market. I chuckled to myself that all the good stuff would be gone. I was quite surprised to find it, a Penens tool box and a handful of sockets still sitting out in the open. Best $10 spent all week! Would have never thought to check the Lectrolite catalog and it wasn't showing on any of the plain S-K catalogs...thanks! Now off to the shop to see what I've got to filler up.1000024572.jpg

A flea market friend flagged me down as I was pulling into the parking lot today. He was all hyped up to show me an "early SK" set he had just found. Nearly complete, with some Williams and other pieces mixed in, but still eye-goggling to behold with the impeccable condition of the tools and the boxes with both decals intact. He had to scoot or I would've taken more pics. I knew I shouldn't have that second cup of coffee! :)

A prewar S-K set. Very nice. Probably all the sockets are marked S-K Chrome. Quite a find. I have one of the ratchets.
Definitely a prewar "CHROME" set. I pulled up the 1938 catalog on IA/ITCL on my phone to show him (No. 4373 or something like that). He's really a CRAFTSMAN guy (aren't they all?!) so I may try to work a trade. I've been staring at this Circle-U set long enough, for one. But I will probably start with all my odds and ends first and hold that out as a last resort.

Greg,
That set is the one I’ve been building around my female ratchet. It is absolutely perfect and I doubt anyone else is going to have a nicer SK set than that one. Are the drive accessories marked?

I know i’m using a WWII box right now. I do have the correct smaller midget box but have not transferred the to it yet.

I don't know. I barely had time to snap that photo. But I almost always see him on Sundays. I am hoping he still has it in the truck. I already have the back of my Jeep loaded up with Craftsman trade bait. :)

Almost all this was purchased in the late 20-teens, when I was first interested in collecting automotive tools. My early attraction to S-K faded, but I still notice S-K just about every time I go to flea markets. I’m looking to unload this stuff soon, as I’m trying to organize and consolidate.

Need any cases? I got a bunch of unused cased that i don't know what to do with. I believe they are the right cases for that style
