Update on Garold, they removed the little plastic part that was keeping his ear flat and the stitches too. It’s been 2 days since the removal and it appears his ear is going to now have a permanent bend in it.
IMG_2543.jpeg
IMG_2542.jpeg

He’s happier to be out of th cone for sure though.

Another update in the garage, the Camaro has finally come home.
IMG_2538.jpeg

Would like to work on getting more stuff put away and organized but I got other things pressing so the barn will have to sit for now.

This weekend was mostly softball tournament, so not a lot was done other then little stuff.

Garold seems happy with the new desk.
IMG_2559.jpeg

One of the not little but not big job was this downspout pipe was blocked on the corner of the house. I notice it was bubbling up at the metal downspout and adapter joint. I tried to unblock it, but it seems I was hitting something at the sidewalk area. So armed with a shovel, pressure washer, and material I got a new joint of 3” thick pvc routed under the sidewalk and to the vertical part of the downspout.
IMG_2571.jpeg

I used a repair coupler at the little pvc piece at the 90° elbow to allow me to get this downspout in tight. With everything assembled I just slide the coupler up on to the adapter and now nothing is going to move!
IMG_2570.jpeg

The old thin pvc that was replaced. The bent part is where it was broken.
IMG_2573.jpeg

Now to get some fill dirt and finish shaping it and tamping it down before I put compost and grass seed down. I’ll put a flexible extension on the end of the pvc to extend it down to the curb to allow the grass to grow in place before I trim the end of the pipe flush with the ground.

Earlier today I put my gaming systems in the book cabinet. I want to either find another cabinet that has doors that will fit this corner, or build some doors for this cabinet. But for now atleast it’s all out of the tote.
IMG_2585.jpeg
Took a walk around the house and watched the rain fall around here, found a few small repairs still needed in the water diversion system around the house.

Would you look at that water flow!
IMG_2595.png

Then after my walk in the rain after I got home from work, I decided to tackle the attach garage. First order of business was to clear off the benches.
IMG_2588.jpeg

It’s a little full in here.
IMG_2589.jpeg

Took the bench tops off so I can do some measuring of the cabinets and wall spans. Then I relocated the benches for a better layout of the cabinets. With this layout, it will utilize all of the space I have in this area.

IMG_2590.jpeg

Then after taking measurements several times, I finally cut the bench tops and put them in their places.
IMG_2591.jpeg

IMG_2594.jpeg

This is all I had to cut off the bench tops to get them to fit in their spots.
IMG_2593.jpeg

Now to sort out the rest of the garage and organize it all.

IMG_2592.jpeg

Plus I’m sure there’s stuff in the barn that needs to come down to the attached garage.

That’s it for today.

Nothing really to add as I was busy with basketball practice, but I took a few minutes to pick out all of the paint in the attached garage. I say 35% of it is left over from the tenant, the rest is what I accumulated from house projects and so on. I’m sure I have a few more cans of paint in the barn.
IMG_2606.jpeg

Apparently I like that moonlit mahogany stain as I have 2 and a half gallon of it. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Any of that stuff in cans or buckets you want to get rid of if you remove the lids, and let it harden it's fine to go in the trash.

Yea I’ve seen the results of someone tossing cans of paint in the trash and they compacted it. Left some funny streams of colors in the road!

I’ll probably toss some used kitty litter in the cans to speed up the drying time too.

I just set 'em on the patio on the S side, and let the sun do the work. Only takes a few days.

I’m sorry folks, but I can’t support my life style on my salary anymore. I’ve made the decision to join Only Fans. Below are some photos I will be sharing to start off. Maybe yall can give me some inputs on my photos?

I have more in the house, but I didn’t think I would show off all of my photos just yet. Any inputs on my collection of fans? 😂🤣😂🤦🏻‍♂️

I know I got two box fan size floating around and few fans floating around the house. What can I say, I like air movement plus the other house didn’t have AC, just a whole house fan to cool it off at night.

Now’s the time to sell some fans.

Not much tonight as I had to cut the grass at two places and get my in laws set up with a working lawnmower. I did get to move some stuff around and purge some trash in the attached garage.
IMG_2628.jpeg
IMG_2629.jpeg
These totes will get tossed soon. Just holding on to them for a few more weeks.
IMG_2630.jpeg

Trash and junk here, along with tiles I need to put away for repairs in the basement bathroom.
IMG_2631.jpeg

At this time there’s nothing in those cabinets, so everything is out in the open here to sort and trash. Those black plastic totes are full of home related tools and materials. I need to sort them out again after doing all of these projects. But the goal was to have the totes set up for individual jobs such as electrical, plumbing, drywall, concrete and so on.

I might let those glass door cabinets go, not sure yet but at this time I’m wondering if they would be ideal for the attach garage or not.

Cody, apparently if you casually slip your bare feet into the "only fans" pics, you'll make more money 🤷‍♂️
You think my crusty pure white feet would fetch much??

Maybe Cody should dip his tow into new territory and begin an "only mowers" page. Who knows, maybe it's catch on... :dunno:

I just checked, seems that domain www.onlymowers.com doesn't exist! Going to lock it in now for some racey mower photos website! I got some dirty photos of mowers that I'm sure would bring some good money! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

So back to boring organization of the attached garage.

Still trying to decide if it’s worth keeping these cabinets.
IMG_2645.jpeg

Either way, I got stuff organized enough that I now can find everything semi better. It’s not perfect but works for me now until I know everything is in the correct garage
IMG_2646.jpeg

The stuff on the left will either get trashed, moved, or go to its correct spot. The stuff on the right goes in the bunker.
IMG_2647.jpeg

On a side note, we decided to use a fancy china cabinet as a place to store, display, and protect quilts that was made by some of my family members or given to my wife. Most of them are quilts that my great grandmother, grandmother, and my mom made for the family over the years.
IMG_2640.jpeg

We are rotating through them every month and putting a quilt on top of the comforter in our bedroom to use them and enjoy their beauty.

I love glass door cabinets. You can see what's in there without having to open the door. Great for those of us with CRS.
I had to think about what CRS means, can’t remember……. 😂

From the look of things, if I keep them they will be in the barn as I don’t seem to have the room for them in the attached garage. Well 2 could go in the attached garage but then I’ll have the one lonely cabinet to put somewhere

I got some cow panel and clamped it to the steel beams in the bunker. This allowed me to get the gun cases off the floor. I like the concept but I either need to purge or relocate afew gun cases as it’s too much for this spot.
IMG_2653.jpeg
IMG_2654.jpeg

I’ll think about it, but for now it does the job of getting the cases off the floor.

With the attached garage semi organized I now needed to get the rest of the stuff that goes in the attached garage in there. So let’s sort some of the stuff in the barn. Here is the progress after pulling the stuff out that goes in the attached garage and bunker. I need to do some purging and sorting still.

IMG_2657.jpeg

IMG_2659.jpeg
IMG_2660.jpeg
IMG_2661.jpeg

Atleast now I can walk around everything and not have to keep moving stuff to get to it.

For some more stuff to sort, purge, and organize in the attached garage now.
IMG_2662.jpeg

Progress is progress, just trust the process.

Have you considered adding a stiffening bar to the front and back of the panel? Even something as simple as a 1/8" 1x1 piece of angle iron (positioned upward to create a lip, not downward where you'll constantly be hitting your head on it) tacked onto the front and rear edges of the panel should be more than enough to take the sag out.

Let me know when onlymowers is online... I've got a couple of pics to send you.

I did consider that, but the other problem is the soft cases are stuffed inside there. So, between needing stiffeners added and being overstuffed, it has that downward bow in the panel. I could just take one hard case out of the mix and there would be plenty of room for the soft cases without having to stuff them in. When I get to where I'm ready to fine tune the organization in the bunker, I'll redo the gun cases storage to add stiffeners and better clamps,

As for Onlymowers, there's a nice tractor site currently that shows all kinds of tractors and the specs and options for them. They take some exciting photos there! :ROFLMAO:

Love the quilt idea/display Cody! We have quite a few at our house as well from the different generations.
Thanks! I can't take full credit for it as I found it on the infinity space of internet where someone used an old glass door gun safe. I showed my wife what I could have done with the old gun cabinet I had and that's when she suggested the china cabinet since we didn't really have anything to store in there. Worked out well since she didn't want to get rid of the china cabinet, I wanted to display the quilts, and it allowed us too both do something we wanted to do.

Another family passed down item is this oil based painting of the Miller Covered Bridge at the Horseshoe Bend National Park in Alabama. It was commissioned by my great Uncle. This painting was on the wall of my grandparents living room wall for as long as I could remember. I finally got it in the study.
IMG_2667.jpeg

Progress was made in the garage.

I started stripping the stainless steel table top that was put on the flammable cabinet. Here is the starting point.
IMG_2668.jpeg
IMG_2669.jpeg
IMG_2670.jpeg

After scraping it with a razor blade, using various chemicals to soften up what ever was on the top, and using a maroon scotch pad on a DA sander I got this final result.
IMG_2671.jpeg

This was all of the stuff that was scraped off.
IMG_2673.jpeg
Still need some more work, but overall I’m pleased.

Then I sanded the cabinet and taped off the sticker and handle to prep it for some oil based paint with hardener.
IMG_2672.jpeg

And with the tape pulled off of the sticker and handle.
IMG_2674.jpeg
I’ll put the top back on once the paint is dried.

I also disassembled the big shelf I had in my way here. IMG_2675.jpeg

It’s temporarily in the bunker until I decide what to do with it.

Overall that was my progress for today.

Had to do some pond work at the in laws house. The liner has been leak free for 38 years, then it developed a hole about 2ft from the bottom. So I went over there and drained the pond out and cleaned it out.
IMG_2701.jpeg
IMG_2704.jpeg

Even Garold enjoyed his visit.
IMG_2702.jpeg

Here’s the koi in their temporary home for the night.
IMG_2699.jpeg

I’ll be putting the new liner in tomorrow. Hopefully I measured it out right!

Got the top back on the cabinet today.

After getting yard work done I just sorted a few boxes and moved stuff to their proper places at this time. Not much else was done in the barn.
Looks Great! Any thought of building a riser to bring the flammables cabinet top to the same height as the rest of your cabinets/table? I am about to start my own garage redo and a friend suggested that idea. Looking forward to more updates!

I've been thinking about it, would be nice to have everything the same height but I think that will be a later project. It is more work having to fill it up and then empty it again. But I need to get some space open so I can work on the fleet of vehicles soon. All of these side projects keeps slowing me down so I need to stop and get some organizing going. When I do raise it, I would like to use metal to make the riser.
