Rock Island 101. 1-1/2” jaws is all the spec:s I have.
Automatic Swivel. Locks when you tighten Spindle handle.

I didn't find any information on No.101 vises but in 1909 Rock Island offered a No.1 that had the same size jaws. Notice that they also offered versions with swivel jaws (but not in the No.1, No.2, or No.3 sizes). By 1920 Rock Island only offered non-swivel versions.

I spotted this Hollands 23 in an online auction too far away for me to think about acquiring it. But I did notice that its Vise Info Spreadsheet entry links to photos that show an example without the swivel base. So here are two photos of a Hollands 23 with its swivel base.
