Had to dig up
Almost 300’ of my yard to bury a new well line and control wires for a submersible pump, here in Ontario we must dig a minimum 48” to get below the frost line to avoid freeze up , trench is dug , well line and cable installed, hydraulic cement mixed to seal
Up the well line and cable where it enters the well tile , now we backfill and get ready for my 550’ trench for a proper electrical service install. My electrician team started today. They’ve installed the meter head and 60 space Square D 200 amp breaker panel today! Oh yeah, scored a really nice fiberglass soaker tub off Marketplace this past weekend too, $270, complete with nice taps and chromed feet! No sense in being poor and looking it too..

550’ of electrical conduit buried , the crew did a nice job of cleaning uk the yard afterward( I was completely surprised) initial inspection was passed, so now Ontario Hydro ( or whatever they’re called now) to swap out one existing pike at the road, add a cross pike to my place and pull the wire, this will give me the ability to run my mig welder, plasma and air compressor here for the first time in a year and a half… got the final assembly done on the latest watercraft I painted for another shop I. The meantime to ..

It’s been a while, I have some holdups in my permits from my municipality but on a good note. My hydro is nearing completion , they’re hoping to have it live this afternoon, one more pole and final connection today if things go as planned..

Still patiently waiting for our local municipality to get their head out of their *** and get this mess straightened out so I decided I’d pull the existing orange steel off my 12’x12’ doors and swap it out for black to take away a bit of the too orange look of things( besides, I needed to harvest a little bit more matching steel to finish the addition on the back to match… Made up a seal system to keep heat in and snow out, today I even made a good inside latch system to make it really weather tight! Baby steps… lol . Next is I have harvested two windows from a roll up door to cut in.. There’s nothing like natural light in a shop!
