Have a Simpson 61124 pressure washer 2.4 GPM 3400 PSI with a Kohler SH270 6.5HP engine. Works well compared to the craftsman one I had before it. The problem is that the hose, Simpson 5/16" X 35' X 3700PSI MORFLEX M22 #7107184, is a stiff shiny gray jacketed hose that is hard to work with when under pressure. It loops and twists, and although it never kinks enough to shut off, it certainly kinks enough that I am constantly dancing with, and around trying to keep it from twisting itself onto me, and tripping me, or grabbing anything else it gets close to. Three or four minutes using it, and then two or three minutes straightening it, repeat. Worse, I can straighten it with no pressure, and the minute it has pressure here come twists I did not know that existed. I'd like to get a 50' hose to replace it for washing the concrete etc., rather than having to constantly move the pressure washer. Has anyone found a good brand of pressure washer hose that does not twist itself up in knots when using it?

I did find this opinion on Youtube.

Not sure of brand but believe the hose that came with my DeWalt is 50' and I don't have any issues with it curling up when in use. Its a black hose and extremely stiff but rolls out flat and is easy to work with. I will check tomorrow if there is a brand on it.

I looked didn't really see a brand it was stamped OEM 3/8 4000 psi. It might actually be Dewalt as I saw one online that had same stress relief at ends. It does have quick connects and can swivel.

Those mentioned in your you tube link have different diameters and psi ratings. The Vividwash is 1/4 inch not 5/16 and rated at 3600 (above your pressure washer psi). 50 ft 1/4" Super Flexible Pressure Washer Hose Pro 50FT,M22-14/15mm Universal Pressure Washer Replacement Hose 3600PSI ($36) The uberflex and Quivr Flex are also 1/4 " and are ONLY rated at 3100 psi so not compatible with your 3400 psi PW. For the $36 price of the Vividwash, I might give it a try.

I really like Flexilla PW hoses and have a 50 ft and a 100Ft. If it was my money I'd get the 5/16" version rated for 4000 psi: Flexzilla® Pressure Washer Hose, 5/16" x 50’, 4000 PSI, M22 Fittings, ZillaGreen for your machine even though it is $93. Buy once / Cry once.

Thank you all. Will make sure the pressure and the ID are correct. The dewalt one seems about the same as what the Craftsman had. I think it was made by Generac and had a briggs engine. The Simpson was on sale at Sam's when I got it for just under $350. They were dumping all their gasoline engine items due to the changes in laws here about that time. Could not pass the price up.

Will look into the flexzilla too.

Probably going to order the 5/16 50' flexzilla hose.

Q. swivel adapters were mentioned. The hose now has quick disconnects on both ends, it swivels but not when there is pressure in the line. How do swivel adapters avoid the same issue?

You should be looking at single wire 3/8" hose. You need a live swivel. They are made to swivel under pressure. Go cheap and you'll be replacing it soon. I had a cheap one that was buttery smooth out of the box. In under a year I had to manually twist the hose to undo twists. I bought a Mosmatic swivel and it's as smooth today as it was 5 years ago when new. A lot of pressure washer guns are now coming with swivels built in, so that's an option as well.
