I'm having a hard time figuring out what I want for xmas. I'm thinking about a stihl ms290 chainsaw

Since you mentioned chainsaws,I am having a woodstove installed next week. Well I will need a new chainsaw. I will be buying a STIHL saw, any ideas what the "best" model is. I will mostly be just cutting logs. Hopefully there will be a new saw under my tree !

From everything I've seen and read, the ms290 is a great value. Its a bit heavier than their pro saws, but it has a ton of power. Its their best selling saw too. I've heard good things about the dolmar 5100 too, but I'm concerned with the lack of dealer support out there. You can pretty much find a stihl dealer everywhere

I told my wife that I need for Santa to bring me an IR2135 so that I can do the brakes on her folks car in a few weeks (in my freezing cold garage). Yes, I also asked for a heater but I'm not holding my breath on that one. I'm more than likely just getting one or the other, especially since I just bought four 30" Gladiator wall cabinets.
