Bobby Fingers

I’ve never gotten into model making. I suffer from Rheumatoid Arthritis and tiny shit makes my hands hurt… But, I’ve always appreciated the discipline and marveled at some of things people have been able to create in miniature. Recently, I was talking to a friend of mine on the other side of the pond and he asked if I had ever heard of Bobby Fingers.

He gasped when he I heard I hadn’t and as soon as we were off the phone, a link came through via text. I’ve been down for the count ever since…

Much of this content is comedy, but once you are done rolling around on your floor watch this guys technique and marvel at his mastering of multiple disciplines. Dude is crazy talented on too many levels to count.

Wow that was fun. Thanks for that. History through this guy and what he makes is truly a talent.

I have been suffering with Rheumatoid Arthritis for the past 5 months, hands, elbows, shoulders, and knees. Never knew how debilitating it could be at 53, hope to find some meds that help with the chronic pain soon.

Nine years for me. I take a weekly injection of Methotrexate. I turned 66 this year.

I was diagnosed at 38... I did methotrexate the first 2 years and then it started screwing up my liver. From there, they moved me to Humira... I went to the pharmacy and they wanted $7300 for two injections as my ****** insurance didn't cover it.

I told my doctor and he made some calls. Because of my age, they put me in a study... As a result, I've gotten the Humira injections for free since then, but I have to get all sorts of scheduled blood and bone marrow tests to satisfy the study.

That being said, if I take Humira I rarely even know I have the disease. It's really effective for me. About twice a year it flares, but otherwise I'm good...

Back in 2012 I was working on a remote plant about a 6 hour drive from home. My left knee swelled up and became sore. I went to my doctor on days off and she gave me antibiotics and sent me for blood work. Turns out I had 5% chance of getting RA. She also sent me to a specialist and all he said was to call him if it gets worse. Two years later I was on a 4 week shutdown and after the second week I could barely walk. I also had sore wrists. I was chewing Ibuprofen like candy - double and triple dosing.
I tried getting a hold of the specialist but he retired after his office got flooded when our city flooded in 2013. A new specialist contacted me the day after i got home and said she was taking over my file. I have been with her since. Now I do blood work every 3 months and see her once a year.
I do get a gut ache that lasts a day every time I do the injection.

Mine started with a knee in a car ride as well... Hurt like hell... Once I got Humira, pretty much all of my symptoms went away.

For the first six or seven years, the Humira injections hurt like hell. You could go to YouTube and watch people scream in agony as they injected themselves. It SUCKED. Then, like a year ago they changed something... and they don't hurt at all now.

I'm really lucky... I know RA can be miserable and I'm sure mine will be some day.

That was fascinating and entertaining. I have to wonder how many hours went into the whole thing.

I burned slam through all of the series, and then again once more. He is as equally fantastically masterful at miniature and bust craftsmanship as he is at crafting clever voice over content. Sometimes one can find gold doomscrolling YouTube....
