Hey fellas, I hate to admit this to myself as I don’t much care for yard work… BUT, I need a light duty chainsaw. I’d rather not do gas powered as I don’t particularly want to maintain one if I’m only gonna be using it a couple times a year. And if I’m gonna do battery powered, I figure I might as well go with the ecosystem I already own batteries for – Milwaukee. So, anyone have one of these 16″ M18 chainsaws? Are they any good at all for light duty work? I’d love some recommendations.

I tend to drive my cars every chance I get, so the alternator/generator has always sort of been my defacto battery tender. A few years back, however, I started spending quite a bit of time away from home and as a result, my cars sat for longer periods of time. Between the Snap-On “hand-me-downs” my dad left me when he passed and my own Allen brand tools he bought me as a teen, I have a pretty complete collection of hand tools. I’ve long been a user of Atlas 46 tool rolls. The guys that make this stuff, use the stuff – that much is obvious because their products are designed in such a usable way featuring craftsmanship typically reserved only for bespoke bags. In fact, I will say the Yorktown Roll is the best tool roll I’ve ever used. I do have one issue… Cordura often looks out of place in the trunks of my old cars. I know, I know… I’m often over critical of these details, but the fact of the matter is that nylon doesn’t belong near mohair. …

A couple of weeks ago, I reviewed a set of tie downs that I liked. During the proceeding discussion, one of our users mentioned that he had a small business that designed and manufactured cargo tie downs for various trucks. Next thing I knew, he sent me a set and I was installing both his bedside tie downs as well as his rail tie downs on my Toyota Tacoma.
