It would be interesting to hear if Jawsfit Vessel Megadora leaves marks on the screws or not. If you use them - please let us know. There are a lot of discussions, but it would be great to hear from a person who uses them.
Thank you
...Background:
For some reason Amazon only has Jawsfit (I out of curiosity contacted couple of sellers - they sell only jawsfit...) JDV Products, Inc has regular and jawsfit, but the cost with shipping is higher (were $32.90 for 3 of them, now $41.13 + around $15 shipping. Zoro tools just does not have them (I calculated - would be $37.35 + shipping (which is free if you buy $50+ worth)). However, they are out of stock and have "extended lead time" (whatever this means...)
... I wonder why amazon sellers stopped selling regular...

I recall someone posting that if you are doing restoration to stay away from the jawfit as they will mark the fasteners.

I do not have firsthand experience with them but I am sure someone who has will chime in.

I have a set but have never noticed any marks left on fasteners. But then, I never looked either. They don't get used much a almost everything at work is socket head cap screws. I f I think of it I will look.

I used my #1 Phillips on some panhead wood screws I bought on Amazon and the teeth actually destroyed the heads of the screws. I switched to a Wera and had better luck driving them without ragging them out.

The ad clearly warns about this so I don't feel tricked or cheated. I use them more for removing now than driving.

Yes, In my experience they will leave marks, which is super annoying when trying to preserve say a yellow cad plated screw that is NLA, for example. A few years ago, after Jawsfit was released I stocked up on non Jaws Fit Megadoras as well as other JIS manufacturers like Sunflag.

Thank you. I will wait till Zoro tools gets them again and get non-Jaws Fit version.

I wonder why Jaws Fit is the only one on sale on amazon.com... Makes no sense as they appear to be worse...

I don't think they are worse, they are made for a particular application and the packaging clearly notes it's best uses and what to avoid.

I've not really noticed as the screws I use them on have been in the weather and are not pristine samples. For the interior screws I'll use a regular P#X. That's probably why the jaws fit screwdriver is in the shop rather than house drawer screwdrivers.

Dang, didn't realize the do not have the regular ones...missed the boat on that. :(

For anybody wanting non-JawsFit Vessel screwdrivers go to your Toyota dealership.
Toyota screwdrivers are rebranded Vessels.

Did they start selling them in US dealerships? I checked a while ago in MA - they were not available through dealerships

I am in Western Australia. i bought the P.2 and P.3 tang-thru screwdrivers from a local Toyota dealership. The P.2 came from Toyota Sydney (East coast) and the P.3 came from Toyota Japan. I have the P.1, P.2, and P.3 Megadora JawsFit. I have just ordered the 09041-1C111 #1 TIP (75mm) from my Toyota dealership to complete a set of non-JawsFit; it is coming from Toyota Sydney.

Are they toyota branded? That's kinda neat. Definitely seems like something that would not be available in the US for no apparent reason.

There is one site which sells them (? Landcruiser related - unfortunately lost a lot of records with hard drive failure last year (yep, did not back up…)
