Has the slow update for livedata issue been resolved?

Innova Tool upgrade program for 5610 Auto scanner

I used the live data function on a 2013 Chevy truck to monitor fuel trims. It worked just as my older Innova scanner did. It has the ability to graph as well, which my older scanner could not do. I was really hoping I could see misfire counts, but could not. I haven't tried any of the...

I'm a little on the fence on this one. I own a '24 Lotus Emira. It's not listed in the compatibility checker but I understand that there is a lag. Will this tool work fully with the Emira? It's only sort of an "exotic!"

The 5610 will be very limited on any OBD2 certified Lotus vehicles. The 5610 goes up to to 2024 right now. Our coverage checker is currently being updated for the 2024 coverage

Don't forget to check for updates. I like how this scanner is USB C (and comes with a cable) - I had to buy one for my 3120RS last year to update it as it was an odd ball cable.

can this program the speedometer(different tire size) for a 2016 ram 2500? I see bi directional.....not sure if it has this function.

Unfortunately, the 5610 can't program the speedometer. The 5610 does offer Tire Size Reset as a function, but doesn't support Tire Size Reset on a 2016 Ram 2500. https://www.innova.com/pages/coverage

Tire Size Reset: The vehicle's computer uses the size (diameter) of the original tires to determine vehicle speed. In cases where size is subsequently altered, the computer cannot accurately determine vehicle speed. This can cause discrepancies in the speedometer reading or transmission shift timing.

The deal should still be active. Once you apply INNOVA5610GJ in the gift card, promotion box at checkout, the price should come out to around $250-$255 after taxes. I was able to apply it at checkout on my personal Amazon account.

If it still doesn't work, we will still honor it. I will need to get back to you on Monday though. We are closed over the weekends. I will need one of my colleagues to create a discount code for 15% off. I will still send you the free 3380 borescope and 5420 circuit tester once the order goes through.

One use case for these is newer vehicles w/ electric rear parking brakes. Previously we had to open up my dad's equinox's actuators and spin them back with a torx bit. Now you can just plug in the scanner and retract it.

I did the rears on my equinox yesterday and totally forgot about that EPB until I pulled the wheel off.

Heads up, you also have to use the tool the extend them again (and then calibrate them) before it'll work. The car must realize they're way to far away to even try to set it on its own.

I scored this deal a couple weeks ago. Good looking products. The scanner has lots of cool stuff that I'm gonna have to figure out how to use. The circuit tester is similar to a Power Probe except this unit has the lower voltages output that my Power Probe lacks. Seems like a useful upgrade. The bore scope has decent resolution. Maybe a little better than my Milwaukee unit. Good stuff Innova, thanks for the deal!

I know this a very late response. The 5610 doesn't have AutoAuth coverage yet. The release was delayed last year, but is releasing in the next few months here in 2026. We have tablets like our 7111a, 7111, SDS50, and SDS43 that already have free AutoAuto for 2018 and newer FCA vehicles. Our 7111a tablet is getting access for Nissan and Mercedes vehicles later this year, but not the 5610 handheld yet

On top of that, your app is simple to use and very informative. It is very intuitive and easy to access TSBs, recalls, maintenance & repair items, etc. I like how you can order the parts from the app via Amazon.

I have been struggling to get the app to finish pairing w/ the scanner, but finally got it to work on my mom's terrain. I liked being able to email myself the report, it's neat, but other than codes it seems like mostly filler (e.g. predicting a few hundred dollar battery cable cleaning and inspection?). The tire pressure/oil life/etc info didn't pull on this vehicle (2019 Terrain).
