Hey guys, we try to keep things simple around here, but we do a have a few rules for the classifieds sections. Please give these a read before posting:

1. All items for sale must be listed. All ads must have prices. Ads without prices will be deleted.

2. You are allowed to bump your ad once every 72 hours (3 days). If you bump your ad before that time period, it will be deleted.

3. Please only post tools, garage supplies, etc... that are relevant to the Garage Journal.

4. Please do not post links to other classified or auction sites.

5. Purchase items at your own risk. While we do our best to fight off scammers, we are not responsible for deals gone bad. However, if you find yourself getting worked over, please let us know - we will do our best to help you. **Buyers do not pay via PayPal gift**

6. Please combine your items into one thread as often as possible.
Not following this guideline could result in your F/S ads being deleted.

7. You must have a minimum post count of 5 to post threads in the classifieds. Alliance members can post no matter their post count. **Do not place a classified/want ad elsewhere in the forum due to not having the required post count.**

Note: The Garage Journal is not a classifieds site. We have a classifieds section just so that users can help each other out with deals and finds. If you are here looking for profit, please don't post.

These rules include and also pertain to the Wanted Ads.

Re: Please read the rules.

We have been having a lot of issues lately with scammers lately. If you have a Wanted Ad and get a response from a new member with a ZERO post count, use extreme caution.

More than likely this will be a scam and they will request you email, their friend, cousin or other person who "has" the item you are looking for.

If you get a PM from one of these low-life individuals, simply click "REPORT" and list a reason why. The report will go directly to Ryan.

Please do not start threads on these issues.

Thanks for the cooperation.

Two recent issues we have had.

FYI Richmondblake21 PM'ed me to offer me the Proto 500 wrench i was looking for via his "cousin". He shifted it to email right away. Sent me a couple stock internet pics. 1st was wrong, second a complete set. When i asked for pics of both sides of the 13mm he got all defensive. A new twist to me.... ps email address of cousin was jamesrowland401 @gmail.com

Beware: I posted a “wanted” thread about two particular Miller welders and have received several PMs from scammers. It’s super obvious as the screen names are a very combo first & last name and then a bunch of random numbers. Also, they’re saying to email their friend/cousin/neighbor/etc. and they have an online store, they’re a dealer, blah, blah. Icing on the cake is all of them have registered within the past 24-48 hours and have 0 posts.

Just beware is all I’m sayin.
