Hey, it's March already. Wil there be a 2025 Epstein's day? Fireworks, seared flesh, apple pie and tools from an American Small Business. :bounce:

Did some light googling, still don't fully understand what this is. Can someone give a quick primer for newcomers?

I’m ordering this week. It’s too early to wait until July. Buy now!! Do some of you only order once a year?

Start saving yor cash, get ready to buy great tools from a really cool privately owned tool store called Harry J. Epstein. Garage Journal has a great relationshp with these guys and once a year a Harry J. epstein day is held here. The day promotes the business, the business gives discounts, promotions and will decorate their delivery box with hand drawn cartoons. It's super fun! Google them and get an idea as to what they are about.

Yes! We are on for 2025!

Steve is doing good. Comes to work everyday. Still rides his bike. I’m optimistic he’ll be causing me trouble at the store for many more years to come. I’ll let him know you guys asked about him!

I do want in on this....
1st step open an account.

1. If you haven't placed an order with us in a while you might try logging into the site. We upgraded to Shopify but old accounts seem to have a problem logging in. I can take care of it real quick, but you just have to reach out and let me know you're having a problem.

2. If you've never placed an order with us you need to create an account on our website (don't worry we don't send a bunch of annoying emails). After you've done that message me (either on GJ or email) and I'll add you to the Garage Journal Super Secret Discount Club.

After my previous experience, I will never again use "Shopify" - that is a deal-killer right there.
Shopify = NO.
PayPal = NO.
straight credit card or no sale.

FWIW, I hated Paypal (long before Shopify or Venmo), particularly as a vendor (higher fees). However, there is one HUGE advantage that they offer - security. Had not considered it until a conversation with one of our more loyal customers was explaining why he wanted Paypal. Now, as a consumer, I use Paypal whenever possible. The more places that have your credit card information, the more exposed you are the risk of hackers getting your CC info. I'm not trying to get into an argument or anything, please don't take it that way. I'm just mentioning something you may not have considered. Since I started doing this, I have had to cancel far, far fewer credit cards.

Date: July 4th is on a Friday, so it will begin on July 4th and run through the weekend. I usually let it run longer as we're swamped and I don't get to turning it off by Monday or Tuesday.

What you need to do now:

If you already participated you don't need to do anything except load up your wishlist (I'd use wishlist as opposed to shopping cart).
If this is your first time, create an account on our website and then DM me your email address so i can get you signed up.

If you don't like placing orders through Shopify we take orders over the phone all the time: 816-421-4752

Sounds like a lot of fun!

@jsackin do you accept international orders? (No worries if you don’t, I understand it just adds all sorts of hassle. And also no worries if you just don’t want to do deal with it for this special occasion because of the expected high volumes and again the additional hassle an international order would cause.)

Kind regards,
Olli

You can use your credit card with Shopify the same way you would any other ecom credit card processor. You don’t have to have a Shopify account or store any of your cards.

I think everyone should either post their carts/wish lists or there should be a new "post HJE Day" event where we all buy the things we want/need AFTER seeing all the things others want/need.
I love looking at the things people order and seeing all the stuff I did not know I needed until then!
