Need help finding replacement parts for HTC tool stand

So I won an auction yesterday. I saw a tool stand that would work perfect for my garage... and on a whim I put in a $20 bid because I knew it was a $150ish piece. I was surprised this morning when I received the email invoice that I won. With fees and tax it was just over $15. Sweet. But...

Atlas 1060 drill press score at auction!

So I bid on this piece based on 4 photos and a prayer. It was a 30 day estate auction and I was biting my nails hoping I would win. I threw a stupid low dollar amount on it with hopes I wouldn't have to bump it up too much. Surprisingly I didn't have to! It's in really good shape for its age...

Yet another what is it worth thread... some oldies some goodies...

So clearing out my stuff I have 2 older Craftsman tools and a couple of compound miter saws. I want to sell the stuff to make some room (which I need desperately) and make a couple of bucks. Vintage Craftsman 7" circular saw 315.27802 Vintage Craftsman 1/2 drill (5/8hp) 315.25863 Dewalt 12"...

    Vintage Craftsman bandsaw questions...

So this came home to me this morning before work. I didn't get a chance to look it over much... just shoot a few pictures. It was given to my father who in turn gave it to me. (probably so I would stop coming over to his place to use his saw) He said he ran it and looked it over yesterday and it...

Need to make a decorative propeller

A really dear friend of mine asked me to make a propeller for her son's bedroom. It's going to be wall mounted purely as decoration. All she asked for was a big propeller. I'm thinking she is expecting a flat piece of wood shaped like a propeller. I really want to make something nicer for...

A lifetime supply of 400 grit sandpaper...

I came across these pictures of this giant roll of sandpaper on my backup drive. Seriously... I don't know where my Dad got this but I remember using this in my teens. I'm 48 now... Anyone have a clue where it might have come from??? As far as I remember it was around 18" wide... Just curious...

Need suggestions for downsizing Dad's "stuff" (too much)

Ok, so my Dad just turned 80 in April. Thankfully he's fit as a fiddle and active. Lately he's been talking about downsizing... he has a decent sized garage in a residential area. It's packed with 'stuff' he's collected over the past 60 years. Most of what he has is good stuff. He has a few...

    Another “what’s it worth thread”

So my father-in-law passed away a few years ago and I’m in the process of cleaning out his garage. He wasn’t much of a tool guy but he did have some older Craftsman hand tools as well as this old saw. I have the model number and the type... but I don’t know much else about it. I know it’s been...

Looking for an overhead grid projector

I'm looking for some sort of projector or laser to put a grid on a board. I've found an overhead artist projector but might need something bigger. Some of my projects are over 3 feet long. Here's my issue... I make little signs (sometimes larger) with letter I cut out on a scroll saw. Each...

Scroll saw experts I need help please!!!

So I recently acquired a Rockwell 40-440 24” scroll saw from my Dad. I’m not sure how old it is but it’s in pretty good shape. Saw runs nice and seems pretty smooth. The problem I’m having is that it keeps destroying blades. I thought I had it figured out but I can’t quite get a blade to last...

    Kitchen faucet issue...

I am having pressure issues with my kitchen faucet. With no other water running my pressure is very low. If I spray the hose attachment the pressure spikes to an almost usable level then goes back to the low pressure. (I've added a picture of what my faucet looks like... its not this exact one)...

    What's it worth compressor edition

I bought this from a friend back in like 2006. From what I remember he didn't use it much due to it being noisy. I picked it up and never even plugged it in. All I did was open the valve to drain it. It's been in storage ever since. My question is what is this bad boy worth? I'm never going to...

Looking for a durable finish for toolbox drawer

I'm changing up the color of my Craftsman rolling cart. I've already rolled on a few coats of gloss black rustoleum on the body. Now I need to paint the insides of the drawers... I need something that is going to be fairly durable. :headscrat I'm going to put a drawer liner in the bottom mostly...
