Gotta brag about my kid a little, check this out.

I too was an unmotivated student, it took me 5 years to complete a 4 year High School program, I just barely got by and graduated in the lower third of my class. 30 years later I started college and earned a Bachelor’s Degree, with Honors in only two and a half years, while holding down a...

    The right pair of pliers

I bought a pair of these special pliers some 40 years ago, I don’t remember if they were KD or Lisle. They had swivel pads on the tips of the jaws and catch to lock them closed while holding the hose clamp open.

    Steel deck posts

IMHO, Schedule 40 pipe 2” or larger will take a lot of load in direct compression. For a single porch or deck I would probably use the heavy Simpson brackets. Having a Stick Welder solves a lot of problems.

    Are Air Compressors still necessary?

Compressed Air is the fourth most useful utility. My Framing Nailer, and pneumatic Brad nailers are consistently making money for me, enough money that I keep a smaller compressor to take to job sites and sometimes hook up in tandem with the larger compressor for bigger spraying jobs.
