Hello All,
I came across this site while researching restoration of a 3 piece Snap-On box set I recently picked up, KRA-377A '65, KR-421 '59 and KRA- 58B '63. I'm planning on keeping it in my home garage and like the vintage aspect of it. My newer current boxes are over flowing so these will be put to good use. I've been digging though threads on restoring / painting and opinions on processes and painting are all over the place. Eventually I'll figure out which way I want to go. I have a compressor and spray guns and am leaning toward a single stage enamel or urethane solution. I have a lot of prep work to do to clean and sand due to grime and surface rust. Slides and casters are all fine and I look forward to getting started. All drawers are pulled and a good deep clean will come first. I'm looking forward to some guidance from those who've been down this road.
Thanks Guys and Gals

Welcome to the board! It’s nice to see someone else who likes using spray equipment with their paint jobs and not relying on spray cans. We will be on the east coast this spring and are looking forward to it.

Enjoy your trip but be prepared. Anywhere along the coast the traffic has been brutal lately. Especially where I am on Cape Cod.

Thanks for the heads up. We will attend a wedding in Boston, head over to cape cod and finally have a look at the mansions in Newport. About two weeks worth, so no rush getting around. Look forward to your DIY posts.
