I've used Minwax paste finishing wax for many years, today I discovered that it comes in natural and dark finish.

Mothers Carnauba Wax is stocked at O'Reilly's Auto Parts, Home Depot, or you can get it on Amazon.
(I think I paid about $15 for the last can at O'Reilly's. Be sure to get the PURE Carnauba wax - NOT the "cleaner wax")

Wow I’ve never heard of anyone actually finishing up a can of Johnson’s paste wax! Thats why it’s available at estate sales.
I’ve used about 1/10th of my can and I’m 59, so it’s definitely going to be available at my estate sale!

If you used more, they'd still be making it!
If you're using it on already finished stuff, or on steel, it goes a long way. But I use it on raw wood, when I have something I want to be not just bare, but don't want to oil or put a film finish on, and for some pieces, it takes a lot of it. A can still lasts me years, just not a lifetime.

I've gone through a few cans just waxing machines.
I went through a smaller can myself.
It came with a machine maintenance kit.
Took about 20 years but luckily it ran out when the wax was still available and I bought a large can.

I've been using Howard's Paste Wax:
Seems like it might be a little more oily, but depending on your application that might be a good thing..

When Meltonian Shoe polish was discontinued about a decade ago, it was supposedly because it had been purchased by SC Johnson, who then tried to change the formula by removing the petroleum solvents, which screwed up the Meltonian brand, do SC Johnson then discontinued the brand.
SC Johnson gas since discontinued the Kiwi shoe polish brand, although they just cited lack of demand.
Johnson paste wax would have similar solvent issues as the above products.
The other possibility, is the the waxes used ran into price rises, or some other issues, maybe purchasing scales, and it was easier to just discontinue all the wax based products.

Collision 426s paste wax. It is marketed for cars, but I use it every place.
Jetseal by Chemical Guys is a good sealant.

I was concerned when it was discontinued, but upon reflection: I'm 67 and my 30+ year old can is about half used. I think I'm good!
